About Me

“The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.”- Dorothy Parker

My name is Brandi.  If you talk to me for 10 minutes, you’ll learn that I’m a police wife who is very active in advocating for Kentucky’s Law Enforcement. It’s my passion.

I’m an ever-changing, outgoing, education-seeking Carolina-bred girl with an insatiable drive for supporting the families of Kentucky’s law enforcement alongside a group called the Police Wives of Kentucky. Whether I’m instigatinblessedarepwokshirt2g new campaigns to raise money for non-profits, or finding out-of-the-box ways to show our LEOs they’re appreciated, I’m always working. I enjoy partnering with local agencies in their own community outreach efforts, and traveling to meet new people across the state. I also actively write our legislature on behalf of the needs facing our LEOs. I believe strongly in seeing them equipped with everything they need to do their job as safely as possible, and advocate for them to a fault.

What can I say? I’m a fan of our peace officers and their amazing families.

Additionally, I’m the owner of a very small business, called The Siren, where I showcase my passion for re-doing old furniture, as well as my artwork and jewelry I’ve found along the way. Much of what I make there goes back to helping the above causes.

Put simply, I love Jesus10649962_10100651644501509_6441168354582273411_n, my son and husband, our Blue Line family, guns, sweet tea and all things that make you think you can hear a wooden screen door slam shut. If it belonged to the south when front porches were the place to be, it probably has my heart. If it has gypsy flair to it, I’ll fall in love in a heartbeat. If it is unique, I want it. I hoard furniture, and probably need an intervention. I say things like “y’all” and “mercy”, and I tend to draw out my vowels when I get excited. When given the opportunity, I enjoy teaching about firearms to new shooters on the range. I like high heels and huntin’ (not at the same time), and I’ve played guitar for over 20 years.

I write about the good, the bad and the ugly without pulling punches.  I’m by no means perfect; I have my demons and I call them out by name. However, I’m saved by a grace that calls me a saint, and I do what I can to honor that notion (though I fall short daily).

I sincerely hope you enjoy your time here!

The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” – Proverbs 28:1

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” – Matthew 5:9

For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. – Romans 13:4

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9

Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. – Psalm 82:3-4

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. – John 15:13
